Online filing deadline for 2011 income tax returns

Revenue has confirmed that the Revenue On-Line Service (ROS) extended self-assessed income tax pay and file deadline for 2011 returns is Thursday, 15 November 2012. For customers who file their 2011 Form 11 return and make the appropriate payment through ROS for:

·         Preliminary Tax for 2012,

·         Balancing Income Tax due for 2011,

the due date is extended to Thursday, 15 November 2012.

To qualify for the extension, customers must both pay and file through ROS. Where only one of these actions is completed through ROS, the extension does not apply.  

Customers who pay or file by means other than ROS are required to submit both payment and return on or before the usual 31 October 2012 deadline.
